When illegal livestock farmers lay waste to vast areas of the virgin woodland of the Indio Maíz Biological Reserve in Nicaragua, the indigenous and Afro-descendant forest wardens join up with a US conservationists and undercover journalists to expose the shady meat business in protected areas and indigenous territories. Patrol tells the story of the threat jeopardising one of the last tropical woodlands in Central America, and the heroic efforts of the indigenous and Afro-descendant forest wardens to save it.
